The Qur'anic Account of the Universe and Its Scientific Correlation: Exploring Stars, Black Holes, Wormholes, Space-time, Space travel, and Other Phenomena.

1. Introduction to the Qur'an and its relevance to science

The Quran is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God to the Prophet Muhammad. It contains verses that provide guidance, wisdom, and moral teachings for followers of Islam. It also contains descriptions of the creation of the universe and its phenomena that have intrigued scientists for centuries. The Quranic account of the universe is a fascinating subject that has received growing attention from scientific researchers in recent years. There is a growing body of evidence that suggests the Quranic account of the universe is not only metaphorical but has a correlation with modern scientific discoveries. The Quranic descriptions of the stars, moon, black holes, wormholes, space-time, light speed and other phenomena have been found to be remarkably accurate and consistent with the latest scientific research. The study of the Quranic account of the universe and its relevance to science is an exciting area of research that is helping to bridge the gap between science and religion. It is a testament to the profound wisdom and insight that the Quran contains, and how it remains relevant in our modern world.

“We will show them Our signs in the universe and in their own selves, until it becomes manifest to them that this (the Quran) is the truth” (Quran; 41:53).

" Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind. "- Albert Einstein

2. The Qur'anic account of the creation and the ending of the universe

The Qur'an provides a unique perspective on the creation and ending of the universe. According to the Qur'an, the universe was created by Allah with a purpose and a precise order.

"Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" Qur'an 21:30

The Qur'an states that Allah created the universe in six days and that He is the one who sustains it.

"Indeed, your Lord is Allāh, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne.[1] He covers the night with the day, [another night] chasing it rapidly; and [He created] the sun, the moon, and the stars, subjected by His command. Unquestionably, His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allāh, Lord of the world's."
Quran 7:54

The Qur'an also mentions that the universe was created from a single point and also mentions how its going to end which is consistent with modern scientific understanding of the Big Bang and the Big Crunch theory.

"The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it."
Quran 21:104

3.Qur'anic account of Space-time

Moreover, the Qur'an describes the creation of the universe in a way that is consistent with the concepts of space-time and relativity. Allah says in the Qur'an that He created the heavens and the earth in six days, but to Him, a day is like a thousand years of our time. This suggests that the creation of the universe was not limited to our concept of time and that it was a gradual process.

"And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allāh will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count."
Quran 22:47

4. Qur'anic account of the Sun and Moon and their orbits

The Qur'an also describes the movement of the sun and moon and how the moon borrows its light from the sun, in a way that is consistent with current scientific understanding.

"He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allāh, your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed."
Quran 35:13

"Do you not consider how Allāh has created seven heavens in layers
And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?"
Quran 71:15-16

5. Qur'anic account of Space travel

Space exploration is the use of astronomy and space technology to explore outer space.

The Qur'an also mentioned how impossible it would be for mankind and jinns to travel beyond the universe without his permission

"O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh]."
Quran 55:33

6. Qur'anic idea of the Black Holes

black holes form when the center of a very massive star collapses in upon itself

"So when the stars are obliterated (extinguished)"
Quran 77:08

"Then I swear by the setting of the stars"
Quran 56:75

7. Qur'anic account of the wormhole

A wormhole acts as a shortcut or bridges in space connecting two distant regions in the universe. The Quran calls them 'Ma'arej, God gave this method of transportation to his angels throughout the universe.

"The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years."
Quran 70:4

"They do not believe the Message, like those who preceded them; Even if We [Allah] opened upon them from the heaven a door and they continued passing through it they would say 'Our sight is intoxicated, rather we have been bewitched'. It is We [Allah] who have made towering structures in the heavens and made them beautiful for beholders. And We protected them from every evil spirit accursed."
Quran 15:13-17

8. Qur'anic account of the Neutron star(Pulsar)

Pulsars are compact, rapidly rotating objects that emit concentrated streams of radiation far across the cosmos.
Pulsars sound like someone persistently knocking.

"By the heaven, and the night-visitor(the knocker), what do you know what the night-visitor is?. It is the piercing star. There is no living being but there is a protector over it.  So let man consider of what he was created."
Quran 86:1-3

The Qur'an and modern scientific discoveries

many modern scientific discoveries confirm the accuracy of the Qur'anic account of the universe. The Qur'an and modern science can work together to provide a deeper understanding of the universe and its workings. By exploring the relationship between the Qur'an and modern scientific discoveries, we can gain a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of our world.
It is fascinating to see how a book that was revealed over 1400 years ago contains scientific concepts that have only recently been discovered.
